We took my Grandma Messina's Fig Cookie and made it a new way. Her traditional fig filling includes figs, dates, raisins, marschino cherries, walnuts, oranges, apricots and oh yeah...whiskey for good measure. We chop all of that up and add it to our classic biscotti. Then we make an amazing vanilla glaze and finish that off colors of the Italian flag. I hope my grandma would be proud.
